Connie Lassiter - B.Ed., MA, R. Psych.

Connie is a Registered Psychologist who enjoyed a lengthy and rewarding career as a classroom teacher, before deciding to seek a new career path.

She gained her MA in Counselling Psychology from Seattle City U and has worked for the past 14 years as a counsellor.

Connie's invaluable life experience and work with youth and their families have fostered a “holistic” approach to helping. This suggests that the presenting problem not be the focus of counselling, but rather view the whole person; how the problem may be affecting all aspects of an individual’s emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical well-being. She embraces a client-focused approach in therapy, with the goal of providing the best fit for the client.

All individuals, young and old, possess the strengths required to make the changes necessary for healing. Before deciding to seek therapy, individuals have usually turned the problem over and over within their thoughts. Counselling can help put words to those thoughts, promote a better understanding of how our thoughts impact our emotions, and build new, more helpful meanings.
